Students play a role at Holocaust Memorial Day event at Rochester Cathedral
Recently a group of our students were amongst those in Rochester who gathered at the Cathedral for an event, held on Holocaust Memorial Day to commemorate those people murdered in genocides in the last century.
Thomas Aveling was represented by five students: Braschia, Chloe, Carys, Cameron, and Jack. They read two poems on the theme of moving on after great trauma.
The evening was attended by The Lady Mayoress of Rochester and representatives from schools and Faith groups in the local area.
Students from Thomas Aveling also produced artwork for the evening which is being displayed in various places around Rochester in the coming month.
