Welcome to Year 9

This is your most important year at Thomas Aveling so far.

In March you will choose your subject options for KS4 and in May you will take your SATS exams in English, Maths, and Science.

Good study skills are essential this year as well as full attendance. Many important topics will be covered in all lessons that will be the building blocks for not just your SATs exams but also for your GCSE studies next year.

Staff will be more than happy to help you after school, so check the after-school activities sheet each term.

But school isn't just about exams - Year 9 will take on the important role of Prefects for the first time and there are many other opportunities to get involved in school life through the School Council, sports, music, drama and much more.
