Welcome to Year 8

As year 8 students you are now established members of the school and as such we expect great things from you. This year is vital to your preparation for your end of Key Stage assessments and in preparation for choosing your options. It is important to embed really good practice in all you do, recording homework in your planner and allowing time to complete each piece of work set to the best of your ability.

Please look out for letters informing you of the important dates for the year where parents and students will discuss progress and suitability for option choices with their teachers.

It is hoped that as settled members of the school's community, you will benefit from taking part in as many school-based activities as possible. This may be as a school council representative, a peer mediator, a member of a school team or any other of the many after school clubs. Each and every one of you have a very important part to play in the success of this school and in Year 8 you have the opportunity to really make an impact.
