Welcome to the year 7 area on the Thomas Aveling Website. If you are lucky enough to get a place here rest assured that every effort will be made to make your transition from primary to secondary as painless as possible, with with a taster day, a puzzle day, visits to your primary school and even a fun packed Summer School!

Your first day in September will be getting to know your new form tutor, fellow learners and finding your way about the campus. To make this as easy as possible the new year 7s will almost have the school to themselves.

On this first day you will also be given your 'Smart card' to enable you to access the cash-free catering system and first hand, be able to enjoy the delights of healthy eating meals and snacks.

You will soon settle in, making lots of new friends and learning lots of new and exciting things, making this the start of a hardworking, happy and successful time at the Thomas Aveling School.
