Psychology

The specification chosen encourages candidates to take a broad view of Psychology by covering all core areas within AS, whilst allowing for the study of some of the core areas in greater depth in A2.

Areas covered within the course include: Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Physiological Psychology, Social Psychology, Individual Differences and Research methods.

This specification lays an appropriate foundation for further study of Psychology or related subjects in higher education. It is a subject which allows students to actively develop themselves as individuals. Psychology allows students a variety of perspectives of the "outside world" which they will learn to criticise and analyse.
