Health and Social Care

Health and Social Care is an exploration into the issues surrounding health, well-being and care of individuals in society. Our health and social care course encourages learners to develop a critical, analytical approach to problem solving, and to become effective and independent learners. The course will also prepare learners for working in a range of different careers within health and social care.  Level 2 Health and Social Care course will benefit learners who want to progress on to further studies in this area.

During the course learners will find that each of the components studied interlink, to help them build their confidence as they progress through the course.  For each assignment, learners will apply their knowledge to real-life scenarios to demonstrate their understanding.

Key Stage 5 -BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care

Learners will build on their KS4 knowledge to investigate the theories and principles that underpin health and social care in society. Learners will have the opportunity to develop their communication, team work and analytical skills.

Year 12
