Thomas Aveling Annual Santa Fun Run

Thomas Aveling Santas take to the street for the 7th year in a row, ho ho.

The weather was kind and so was the support from passers-by cheering and tooting as the “Sack” of Santas (over 120) ran the mile route through the streets of Rochester, running along Arethusa Road, down City Way, through the alley and up the Long Walk back to school.

The runners raised over £400 for their chosen charity – MacMillan Cancer Support.  The first home were identical twins Cameron and Callum Featherstone who both crossed the finishing line together.  Entrants were welcomed back with hot chocolate and doughnuts as is the tradition.

Mrs Cross Director of Learning said “we are proud of our Resolutes in Santa suits doing their thing and raising money for Macmillan Cancer, a charity chosen by the students as its close to many hearts.’’

Again an amazing event for a very worthy cause, perhaps next year we will get the snow to really set the scene!
