Chessington Trip for our Young Carers
On Friday 16th June, 30 students from Year 7 to Year 11 went to Chessington World of Adventures.
The reason behind the visit was to recognise the work of our Young Carers. We have a number of students who care for a parent or sibling who have a disability or long term illness.
We offer support in school through our weekly Young Carers Lunch Club and trips which are funded from our fundraising activities throughout the year.
The students had a great time experiencing the rides and enjoying the theme park experience which included the zoo.
It was a very hot day which made the water rides very appealing even if some of the students and teachers got stuck on the log flume which broke down!
The students enjoyed lunch in a choice of restaurants but the unlimited pizza and pasta bar was the clear favourite.
