‘Pucker up in Pink’ Day fundraises for Meningitis NOW Charity
As part of our ongoing fundraising in memory of Victory student Hannah Evans we held a ‘Pucker up in Pink’ day recently and are delighted to have raised close to £500 as a result.
In an event that was designed to bring smiles to students faces and raise awareness of Meningitis, all staff and students were invited to donate to the charity Meningitis NOW in return for the opportunity to wear bright pink lipstick to school for the day!
The chance to wear bright pink lipstick was embraced by many students and staff and the day really did create the splash of colour around the school that was hoped for by our Head Girls; Amy and Lauren, who took responsibility for organising this fun event.
Director of Learning for Victory House, Ms Job said “It was great fun to see students and staff glossed up in memory of Hannah. She so loved her signature pink lipstick and I could always spot her in any crowd. I hope that through the money we make and the raised awareness, that other schools don’t have to experience the loss of a student from such a devastating illness.”
