Music

The arts in general, and Music in particular, attract international prestige to Britain. They are a major export earner and a significant economic sector in their own right. With the ever-increasing economic and social links occurring in Europe and further afield, it is imperative that students are given a thorough grounding in the understanding and application of Music. Students follow a course which builds on their knowledge and skill in the three areas of Listening, Composing and Performing music from a wide range of styles and cultures. There is the option to continue their studies through to Music GCSE and A-Level Music Technology, where students learn to use our professional recording studio. Students, also, have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument from Drums and Electric Guitar through to Violin and Saxophone.
