The media - from magazines and newspapers, through films, radio and television, to computer games and the internet - fill your waking hours and bombard you with messages and images that shape the way you see and understand the world you live in.

We aim to help you find your way through the sometimes confusing, often entertaining, occasionally dangerous world of the media by:

• helping you to make sense of the media in all its many forms
• enabling you to gain experience of media forms and genres you might not have seen before
• giving you chances to work on realistic media industry projects
