Mathematics is everywhere.

You need maths in everyday life - from organising money to measuring, to reading information. These skills are a vital part of life and we need to make sure that these are learnt and developed.

Within the Mathematics Department students are encouraged to develop their thinking skills and develop their mathematical minds. We deliver an extensive curriculum including:

• Using and Applying Skills
• Number and Algebra
• Shape, Space and Measure
• Handling Data

We use a variety of techniques to engage students in mathematics, including puzzles, challenges and games as well as traditional teaching.
