Examination Results

2007 public examination results saw further improvement for Thomas Aveling for the sixth successive year.  65% of students achieved 5 A*-C grades, which was an improvement of 3% on the previous year.  95% of students achieved 5 A-G indicating the strong emphasis and commitment that the school places on Inclusion.

At Key Stage three, results were also improved and outstanding.  We continued to achieve the very top levels in all subject areas and were pleased with the increaed number of level 6 and 7s.  All three subjects exceeded their level 5 and above targets with Maths achieving 76%, English 82% and Science 69%.

At Key Stage five, the number of students who achieved grades to enable them to secure university places improved further.

Thomas Aveling continues to experience success with students who take public examinations early and in 2007, a Year 11 student passed his AS level Maths a year early.
