Information and Communication Technology

The ICT Department aims to give all students the opportunity to become increasingly independent users of ICT tools and information sources. They will gain a better understanding of how ICT can help their work in other subjects by developing their ability to judge when and how to use ICT and where it has limitations. They will think about the quality and reliability of information, and access and combine increasing amounts of information while becoming more focused, efficient and rigorous in their use of ICT.

At KS3 students will develop knowledge, skills and understanding by finding things out; developing ideas and making them happen; exchanging ideas and sharing information; reviewing, modifying and evaluating their work as detailed in National Curriculum Orders 2000.

KS4 students currently study the OCR National in ICT whilst KS5 students study the GCE in Applied ICT (single or double awards).
