Drama
|
In Drama we concentrate on activities that encourage co-operation, sensitivity and trust. Students learn about theatre skills, theatre history and theatre in culture and society. The students take on roles in improvisation to develop their use of imaginative language and movement, through which they express their feelings and ideas. Students also develop their understanding of issues such as drugs and family problems through drama. A variety of strategies, such as problem-solving, negotiation, analysis and interpretation, help to enhance the students' experiences and demonstrate their understanding of dramatic form. They learn about dramatic forms and terms, using them to create substantial pieces of drama. All work leads on to developing the skills required to take the BTEC in Performing Arts in Key Stage Four and the AS/A Level in Key Stage Five. | ![]() |
