Students from this school will be making the news for real on 21 March 2013 as they take part in BBC News School Report. We aim to publish the news by 1600 GMT on the News Day, so please save this page as a favourite and return to it later. In the meantime, take a look at what our students produced last year.
Year 8 students have been busy this year! Students built model volcanoes, carrying on a popular homework project run annually by the Geography department. The standard this year was incredibly high and Mr Minchin had a tough job picking the winner. Congratulations to Oliver Spratt, pictured here with his teacher Mrs Reed, who built the winning volcano. Oliver’s volcano replicates the devastation caused by Mount Pinatubo which unleashed a terrifying pyroclastic flow of ash and rocks. Mr Minchin explained that this would vaporise anything in its devastating path. Well done to Max Lee, pictured here with his teacher Mr Jones, who was chosen as the runner up. Max’s volcano accurately depicted the different layers that build up after many eruptions.
