A selection of students from years 7-9 had a great opportunity of taking part in an exciting and strenuous day of team activities, specially designed to help increase self-esteem and encourage participation in new challenges. Unfortunately the weather was not with us, and it was very cold so many of the activities had to take place indoors and therefor had to be adapted to suit.

Challenger Troop is a Community Interest Company who provides an extensive range of courses utilizing challenging personal development activities in a stimulating outdoor environment. Our students took part in team building activities that aim to help them understand themselves and their own amazing abilities, communicating successfully with the other members in their team and making them aware of the needs and feelings of others.

School staff were present throughout the day providing support and encouragement; they also took part in all the activities which they suffered for later! Our thanks go to all the staff who took part and to Challenger Troop for such an exciting and rewarding day.
