Every year, during the last week before the end of term, between 30 and 40 students in KS3 participate to the residential visit to Venice, one of the most visited and loved cities in the world!
This trip has proved to be highly popular and successful among our students as they experienced many different and exciting activities such as: strolling around the beautiful and majestic Piazza San Marco; walking through a maze of historic narrow lanes surrounded by water, art and wonder; having fun on the beach in Lido di Jesolo; visiting one of the many world famous glass factories in Murano; visiting the very quaint and colourful island of Burano; enjoying a relaxing passeggiata while eating a gelato in the evening in the vibrant city centre.
It is great to see our students experiencing aspects of the Italian culture through food, art and even the unusual hot weather and how much they appreciated it and how well they adapted to it.
I believe that the residential to Venice is one of the most rewarding and fantastic ways to finish a rather long and demanding academic year and I sincerely hope that it will continue to attract as many students as it has done so far.
Finally, I would like to thank the staff who make this trip such a worthwhile and enjoyable experience for all of the students.
Mr M Simone
